Grok (xAI) supports custom connectors at grok.com/connectors. Connect Zamino once and Grok can answer questions grounded in your business numbers.
The connection is read-only. Grok can look at your data through a small set of safe, bounded tools — it can never change anything.
Step-by-step setup
- Add the connector
Go to grok.com/connectors, click New Connector, and choose Custom. Fill in:
- Name:
Zamino - Server URL:
https://api.zamino.com/mcp - Authentication: OAuth
Grok custom connector form coming soonGrok's new custom connector dialog with the Zamino name and MCP server URL filled in - Name:
- Sign in when Grok redirects you
Use the same email address as your Zamino account. The first time through you'll set a password for external AI access and verify your email — this is a separate sign-in from the Zamino app itself, used only by AI clients.
- Approve the connection inside Zamino
For security, no AI app gets access to your data until you approve it inside Zamino. Open app.zamino.com, go to Settings → External AI Access, find the pending request, and click Approve.
External AI Access approval coming soonZamino's Settings → External AI Access page showing a pending connection with an Approve button - Ask your first question
Grok discovers Zamino's tools automatically and makes them available in conversations, like its built-in connectors. Try:
- "What were my top 5 expense categories last quarter?"
- "How did June sales compare to May, by channel?"

A note on privacy
Query results flow into your Grok conversation under your xAI account and plan terms. Zamino sends nothing on its own — data moves only when you ask. Revoke access any time in Settings → External AI Access.
