Zamino

Connecting Grok to Zamino

Add Zamino as a custom connector on grok.com so Grok can answer questions from your own business data — revenue, expenses, invoices, inventory.

Connect your AI3 min read

Grok (xAI) supports custom connectors at grok.com/connectors. Connect Zamino once and Grok can answer questions grounded in your business numbers.

The connection is read-only. Grok can look at your data through a small set of safe, bounded tools — it can never change anything.

Step-by-step setup

  1. Add the connector

Go to grok.com/connectors, click New Connector, and choose Custom. Fill in:

    • Name: Zamino
    • Server URL: https://api.zamino.com/mcp
    • Authentication: OAuth
  2. Sign in when Grok redirects you

Use the same email address as your Zamino account. The first time through you'll set a password for external AI access and verify your email — this is a separate sign-in from the Zamino app itself, used only by AI clients.

  3. Approve the connection inside Zamino

For security, no AI app gets access to your data until you approve it inside Zamino. Open app.zamino.com, go to Settings → External AI Access, find the pending request, and click Approve.

  4. Ask your first question

Grok discovers Zamino's tools automatically and makes them available in conversations, like its built-in connectors. Try:

    • "What were my top 5 expense categories last quarter?"
    • "How did June sales compare to May, by channel?"

Troubleshooting

A note on privacy

Query results flow into your Grok conversation under your xAI account and plan terms. Zamino sends nothing on its own — data moves only when you ask. Revoke access any time in Settings → External AI Access.
