Zamino

Your first 5 minutes with Zamino

Connect one source, ask your first real question, and save the answer. A screenshot-by-screenshot walkthrough.

Getting started4 min read

This is the fastest way to feel what Zamino actually does. Plan for five minutes — we've timed it.

  1. Sign in — you'll land in Chat

After sign-up, Zamino drops you straight into the Chat view. Don't worry that it's empty — that's by design. You connect data first, then ask.

  2. Open Connectors from the sidebar

In the left sidebar click 🔌 Connectors. This is the catalog of every source Zamino can read — accounting, banking, POS, ERP, documents, and custom webhooks.

  3. Connect via OAuth (no API keys)

Click the source you want, then Connect. Zamino redirects you to the source's normal sign-in screen, you approve read-only access, and you're back in Zamino in under a minute.

The first sync runs in the background. Most accounting books finish in 2–5 minutes; large bank histories or busy POS feeds can take 10–20.

  4. Ask your first real question

Open 💬 Chat from the sidebar. The composer shows a few suggested prompts to get you going:

    • Analyze spending trends
    • Review unusual transactions
    • Summarize cash flow
    • Compare monthly revenue
    • Check top expenses

Click one, or type your own — anything you'd normally ask a spreadsheet or your bookkeeper. Zamino shows its plan, runs the query, and returns an answer with the source rows attached so you can audit any number.

  5. Save the answer to a Dashboard (optional)

The answers you'll want again next week belong on a dashboard. Open 📊 Dashboards → New, give it a name, then add a block that runs the same question on a schedule. The dashboard auto-refreshes whenever the source data updates.

What "good" looks like at five minutes

You should feel like Zamino just saved you an afternoon of CSV wrangling. If the answer feels thin, it usually means the source is still mid-sync — give it 10–15 minutes and try again.
